Jardin du Luxembourg, 2 pm, October 2004 | The pétanque balls look quite still and inanimate here, but looks can be deceiving.  Within seconds, everything will change as a new ball comes flying in to shake up the status quo.  You can hear the sounds of the balls hitting each other all day long in this corner of the park.
