La Tour Eiffel, 7 pm, November 2004
The idea here was simple: get a dramatic shot of the most photographed landmark in the world.  I used a 24 mm wide-angle lens (no tripod) and started shooting as the lights began sparkling at the top of the hour.  The only other element in the picture, the streetlight, is there on purpose -- the photograph wouldn’t be complete without it.
