Quai de Jemmapes, 11 am, October 2004
This is the Canal Saint-Martin at the spot where it goes underground to return to the Seine.  What caught my eye from the footbridge was the narrow light reflecting off the rippled surface of the water.  The canal runs for about three miles through the 10th Arrondissement and was recently cleaned up after many years of neglect. Bien joué, Paris.
