Place des Vosges | 10:30 am, 11-2008

Place des Vosges, 10:30 am, November 2008 | It’s the oldest and probably the most loved square in Paris.  On a typical fall or spring day in the Marais, it’s filled with the sights and sounds of people enjoying themselves.  But on this cold November morning the square was virtually empty, all the better to appreciate its precise symmetry (it really is an exact square) and the brick-and-stone facades of the 400-year-old houses that surround it.
