Place Saint-Sulpice, 3 pm, October 2004
The square at Saint-Sulpice serves as sort of an orientation point for me in Paris, the place where I often start and finish my wanderings.  This is the Visconti fountain, right in the middle of the square.  The popular fountain actually depicts four bishops from the Louis XIV era, but hardly anyone knows that.  This particular fellow is named Masillon.
